What I do: I manage and support DI’s key partnerships with government, government agencies and others in Uganda to increase access to and use of development data. I focus on building, maintaining and delivering key projects through these partnerships, ensuring the links between DI’s local projects connect to the organisation’s strategy. I also contribute to DI’s work harnessing the data revolution at subnational, national, regional and global level.
Previous experience: I spent six years working to promote open data and the data revolution in Uganda through coordinating the local data ecosystem as a Governance and Transparency Analyst for Development Research and Training. I also spent four years working in media in Uganda, first as a radio journalist with Straight Talk Foundation, a youth-focused health and development communication NGO, and later as writer for some of the country’s major newspapers
